It can’t be overstated that there is a lot of value in standardization. Templates with predictable designs will always have their place on the web. In fact, they may be the best possible solution for individuals and small businesses to share their brand with the world. That said, templates have become a commodity, a lot of websites are starting to become homogeneous.
